Chiropractor – Jenny Askwith

Jenny Askwith

I was born and raised in Perth and the second of three children. My parents have always encouraged me to be active and healthy, but with that came a few injuries of which I sought Chiropractic care to help keep me at a point of wellness.

I was educated at Murdoch University and through this came the opportunity to travel and have new experiences within the scope of Chiropractic. I travelled to India in 2009/2010 to a remote community in the north east. We treated within the slum areas of India and also those people who worked as rock breakers to earn a meager living. This was very insightful and one of the best experiences of my life. I hope to return there in the next couple of years.

In my spare time I love to cook and dine out – I’m always looking for new tastes! I am looking to travel into the wine regions in France and to taste the traditional paella in Spain in the next few years.

Entering this profession has shown me the importance of prevention and wellness and that to maintain real health requires a proactive approach. The course I completed at university focused on many aspects of the realm of healthcare, including nutrition, rehabilitation, body function, diagnosis, and importantly the chiropractic adjustment. I enjoy furthering my education and have a thirst for knowledge into expanding my diversity as a practitioner. Watching the body change, heal and adapt to a healthy ethos will never cease to amaze me, and I look forward in taking this journey with you.

Chiropractor - Melissa Morgan

From a young age I knew I wanted to be a Chiropractor, after experiencing Chiropractic care when I was 10 years old, which helped me thrive in competitive swimming and hockey.  Over the years I came to understand that Chiropractic care plays an important role in allowing our bodies to function optimally in our everyday lives, not just after injury to leading up to game day.

I graduated from Murdoch University with a degree in Chiropractic Science and Sports Science, with a keen interest in helping people achieve their best level of health and wellness.  During my time at MU I was involved with Hands On India and had the opportunity to travel the the remote communities in India's north-east to provide care to the rock breakers and tea pickers who often suffer without any help.  The journey astonished me and served to further my desire to help people live better lives.

Outside of the practice I love camping, hiking, kayaking and more.  I love getting out in nature.  I enjoy time with friends, new experiences, travelling and truing different foods, but sometimes I enjoy sitting back with a good book.

Chiropractic Assistant – Salilyn Smoker

Sally Smoker

After working in Medical Administration in Perth for a number of years, my husband and I moved to Mandurah along with our youngest son, about 7 years ago.  I enjoyed being able to take advantage of not working for a few months, which enabled me to indulge in some of my favourite pastimes, like gardening, sewing, reading, arts and craft, not to mention spending time with my family and friends.

I started working as a Chiropractic Assistant in Pinjarra about 4 years ago.  I really enjoy the happy, fun and friendly atmosphere at Pinjarra Chiropractic.  Seeing the positive results achieved on a daily basis by our professional team makes my job very rewarding.  Being a mum of 3 and grandmother of 2 I can really relate to parents that bring their children in for treatment.  I only wish I had know how beneficial Chiropractic was when my children were growing up.

Chiropractic Assistant – Cindi Herd

Hello!  My name is Cindi and I am the newest team member of Pinjarra Chiropractic.  I was born in America but relocated to Australia in 1993 and currently reside in Waroona with my husband and two gorgeous teenage boys.

I am really excited to work in the field of Chiropractic as I have experienced fantastic results from Chiropractic care, especially after becoming a new mum.  It has increased the quality of my life tenfold.  I am eager to learn more and share my knowledge with others so they too can have a more dynamic and healthy lifestyle.

I have worked for years in the travel industry as well as in office support.  I have always been interested in helping people and my community.  I enjoy delivering Meals on Wheels as well as donating plasma to Red Cross once a month.  Variety is an important ingredient in life and my favourite past-times reflect this.  I love yoga, surfing, walking, cycling, hiking, reading, travelling, and learning about different cultures.

It will be my pleasure to meet and assist you.  I look forward to being a part of this professional team who share common goals to educate and help their community improve health and wellbeing for a fulfilling life.

Chiropractic Assistant - Michelle Gray

I moved to Pinjarra from the country 22 years ago when I married a local Pinjarra boy.  After being a regular patient of Brett's for 7 years, I was excited at the opportunity to become one of the Pinjarra Chiropractic team.  All the team have made me feel so welcome as have all the wonderful patients.  I have worked in the pharmacy industry since the age of 16, only taking a break to raise my 2 beautiful children.

While I loved working in Pharmacy and helping people to get their health on the right track, I have learnt through my own experience that Chiropractic care can really help to prevent and treat a lot of health problems that can arise and that prevention is better than cure.

Outside of work I love to travel, spend time with my family and friends and doing volunteer work.

I look forward to the future and being part of a great dynamic treat.
