Chiropractic is a professional natural health care service that specialises in, but not restricted to, musculoskeletal disorders. At Pinjarra Chiropractic, emphasis is placed on diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing prevention of various disorders and conditions, especially those related to the spine. The spine is the gateway of the nerves that innervates all aspects of the body from muscles & joints, to the vascular and digestive systems. If your spine and joints are functioning, this will allow your body and the systems affected by the nerves to also function correctly.
Chiropractors are primary care providers that view your overall health and discuss your best treatment options and long term health plans and goals, with the aim to get your health to where you want it to be – Healthy, Vibrant and Pain Free.
At Pinjarra Chiropractic we provide you with a number of treatment options and techniques which may involve manual therapy, including adjustment of the spine and extremities; soft tissue therapies, and sports or postural taping. We can also provide exercise, nutrition and health and lifestyle advice.
It is a common misconception that Chiropractors only deal with the spine. This is not true and at Pinjarra Chiropractic we also pride ourselves on treating the extremities such as shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries, sprained ankles and hip and knee conditions.
We believe at Pinjarra Chiropractic that if your spine and body is mechanically functioning to its optimum then so will the rest of your systems, providing you with a healthy, energetic and happy lifestyle.
Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being.
Massage involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure – structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving – tension, motion, or vibration, done manually or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastrointestinal system. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different recognized massage modalities. The most cited reasons for introducing massage as therapy have been client demand and perceived clinical effectiveness.
At Pinjarra Chiropractic, many of our patients utilize massage therapy prior to a chiropractic adjustment, as they may find greater ease with treatment.
